A convenience sample of approximately 200 students' HESI Exit exam scores from a diploma school of nursing in a large Midwestern city was used. Student scores on the HESI Exit exam were collected as were pass or fail results on the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. Student demographic data was also obtained from a database at the school.Nursing educators are more inclined to use a predictive examination which is computerized, and provides immediate feedback (Lauchner, et al., 1999). ... the HESI Exit exam has found wide acceptance among nurse educators as a predictor of NCLEX-RN success and a guide for ...
